I have a Master’s Degree in Child, Couple and Family Therapy from Antioch University Seattle. This comprehensive clinical training focused on counseling individuals of all ages, with added emphasis on multicultural sensitivity, ethical practice and social responsibility. I have counseled children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. As well, I have worked with children and their families in schools, community mental health and in private practice.
I also hold a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked as an engineer for several years. This unique combination of academic training as a therapist, as well as practical experience in the workplace has given me insight and understanding into many life challenges.
I am a trained Hospice volunteer, counseling individuals to help them process grief as they struggle with end-of-life issues. As co-facilitator of family grief camp, I have also had the opportunity to work with children and families grieving the loss of a loved one.
I am an Associate Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), as well as the Washington Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (WAMFT), the Seattle Counselors Association (SCA) and the American Counseling Association (ACA).
