About Me

I have a Master’s Degree in Child, Couple and Family Therapy from Antioch University Seattle. This comprehensive clinical training focused on counseling individuals of all ages, with added emphasis on multicultural sensitivity, ethical practice and social responsibility. I have counseled children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. As well, I have worked with children and their families in schools, community mental health and in private practice.

I also worked for several years in the areas of business and research.  This unique combination of academic training as a therapist, as well as practical experience in the workplace has given me insight and understanding about difficulties in work relationships, career challenges and unemployment woes.

I am a trained Hospice volunteer, counseling individuals and families to help them process grief as they struggle with end-of-life issues.  As co-facilitator of family grief camp, I have also had the opportunity to work with children and families grieving the loss of a loved one.

I am a volunteer therapist for The Soldiers Project Northwest.

Additional areas of training include the following:
Emotionally Focused Therapy and Military Couples
  Alcohol Problems in Intimate Relationships
  Maintaining Hope in Couples Therapy
  Infidelity Training
  Ethics and Technology
  Expressive Therapy Techniques
  PTSD for Clinicians
  Traumatic Brain Injury for Clinicians
  DBT Skills Training
  Lifespan Integration

I am a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), as well as the Washington Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (WAMFT) and the Seattle Counselors Association (SCA).
